for the love of bowls

Inspired and informed by my background as a fine artist, I make functional objects that are fun to live with.  I am excited to share with you some of my new ceramic creations in the making. The bowl is definitely my favorite form to hold (and to eat out of) and I have enjoyed making many permutations of this familiar friend. I like them filled and I like them empty. I like them in clover and paisley shapes and I like them looking like the hallowed out half of a geode or a dinosaur egg. I like them landscaped in a tiny menagerie of soft succulents or filled with tumbled stones that I have found on my adventures, and I especially like them filled with tasty eats.

Come see and hold in person at the Christmas Tree Lane 91st Festival of Lights on December 10th from 2-8pm, 600 East Mariposa Street, Altadena CA. I have included a few photos below as a sample of what will be available for purchase. These mini gardens range from 2-6 inches across and 3-4 inches deep, so they’re quite small. All pieces are one of a kind and all glazes are non-toxic and food safe. Merry be.
